You know those days, when the hours seem too long, or the water just doesn’t satiate. The sun isn’t quite warm enough or it’s too humid. The days when it seems like no matter how hard you try, it will never be enough (to yours or someone else’s standards).
I ask you, what do you feel as the minutes creep by?
Why is it always so easy to fail by the standards of others, and therefore so difficult to meet our own. I think the quote that says, “Today I’m going to believe that showing up is enough”, is for times like these.
We often forget that each person has their own battle for the day. The amount that they burden or blame you for is dependent on where they are in their journey. We have to try not carry that blame for our own sake, and remember to offload the expectations of others and ourselves and just be present. Just be enough.
